Circuit Calafat
Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most before people ride at Circuit Calafat. If yours is not here, write to us or call us.
Can I drive my own car or ride my own bike on the track?
Yes. On track days the circuit is open to private drivers and riders with their own vehicle: road cars, with or without a roll cage, and motorbikes. Single-seaters and Speedcars are not accepted on car track days.
How do I book a track day?
From the calendar on this website: choose a date and press Book. Registration is online through Superlaps. Registering at the circuit on the day costs €10 more and, for bikes, does not guarantee a place.
How much does a track day cost?
Car track days start at €129 and bike track days at €85. The exact price of each date is shown in the calendar. On top of that there is the compulsory day insurance (€20 for cars, €25 for bikes) and €25 for each extra driver or passenger.
What is included?
Track time in the session you booked, shared pit boxes (first come, first served) and timing of all your laps. The Paddock Bar is open during the day.
Do I need insurance?
Yes. Every driver and passenger needs the day insurance, paid at the circuit on registration by card or cash. Riders with a federation or social licence must tell the FCM (Catalan Motorcycling Federation) on its website that they will train at Calafat that day; otherwise they will not be covered.
How many vehicles are on track?
A maximum of 30 entries per day on car track days and 40 on bike track days.
Can I share my car or take a passenger?
Yes. An extra driver or a passenger costs €25 and always shares the same vehicle. Each person pays their own day insurance.
Is there a noise limit?
Yes. Open exhausts or exhausts without a silencer (db-killer) are not allowed on track, and noise is measured. The noise rules are on each track day's page.
My bike has wheels smaller than 17". Can I ride?
Yes, but bikes with wheels under 17" (Promovelocidad, Minibike or similar) do not share sessions with 17" or larger bikes, unless there is a dedicated group for them.
What if I can't make it?
Cancel 10 or more days ahead and you get a full refund. Between 5 and 10 days, the amount is kept for another track day (within 6 months). Under 5 days, only justified cancellations are accepted and the amount moves to another track day. Without notice, the entry is lost. Track time lost to incidents (red flags, breakdowns…) is not made up.
Can I see my lap times?
Yes. Every track day is timed and lap times are shown live on the Timing page. The fastest make it into the circuit's Hall of Fame.
What are the track day times?
Depending on the date there are morning, afternoon or full-day sessions. The times of each day are shown in the calendar.
Can I ride with an instructor?
Yes. Car track days offer coaching with professional driver Francesc Gutiérrez, who corrects your driving on track. The circuit also runs safe, performance and eco driving courses.
Can I hire the whole circuit?
Yes: for teams, testing, training, product launches and corporate events. You will find the details and a quote form on the Teams & companies page.
Where is the circuit?
In L'Ametlla de Mar (Tarragona, Spain), on the N-340 (km 1,118.5), next to the AP-7 motorway, about 2 hours from Barcelona and Valencia.
